I didn’t do anything I was “supposed” to do yesterday. Well, no, I take that back. I did EXACTLY what I was supposed to do: relax, let everybody else do all the stuff, and only do what *I* wanted to do. So we had a lovely brunch, I got a couple of presents from my sweet daughter, we went to see the new Captain America movie (spoiler: I wasn’t a big fan.) and then I knitted the rest of the day while watching old chick flicks. (Sweet Home Alabama and Pleasantville.) I made lots of progress on a beautiful Pink Diamond Shawlette:Â Pattern is Diamond Shawlette and I’m using KnitPicks Galileo in Abalone and I’m loving everything about knitting this. But for now I must set it aside so I can focus on the things I have to do, like a mermaid blanket and a proofreading job.
Oh, and I finally have pictures of the rainbow scarf, which just got listed on Etsy this morning.Â
I hope all my fellow mothers had an equally lovely day yesterday!
Sounds like the perfect day! Rainbows and diamonds are looking good. 🙂
Thank you! We just need more perfect days like that! 🙂
I agree it does sound like the perfect day 😄 the shawl looks lovely!
It was…and then the next day it was back to cleaning up after people and having kids snark at me! 😉
Happy Mother’s Day. Love your shawl in progress and the rainbow one is super cute.
Thanks, Missy. Hope you had a nice Mother’s Day too!
Wow, Bonny, you are my kinda girl! We really do need to hook up at some point!
Aw, thanks! I feel the same…there are so many amazing people out there that I wish I could just hang out with but they’re all so dang far away! Sigh. Wouldn’t it be fun to set up some kind of retreat for knitting bloggers?
Most of the big shows have blogger/podcaster meet-ups! Will you be at Rhinebeck this year?
Never been but I’d sure love to go at some point! Thanks to kids/house projects, I don’t know if it’s in the budget this year, but it’s on my someday list.
Such a pretty shawl and such a nice way to spend mother’s day.
Thank you! 🙂
