I’m so close to another FO! I finished knitting the body of my Curiosity Cowl last night while binge watching Ginny & Georgia (omg that show is like Gilmore Girls on drugs and so addictive). Now I’ve just got 32” of I-cord to knit for the drawstring.

I really don’t know how I feel about this cowl. I got super bored knitting it, and I think the bamboo yarn is going to be super floppy, and sometimes I like the sort of fish scales vibe it’s got going on and sometimes I don’t. I do love the idea of the drawstring though, so maybe that will be the thing that tips it over into cool.
Hope you’re all enjoying your WIPs today!
LOL “just 32″ of I-cord”. That seems like about 31″ more than I would like to make. 🙂
Haha that’s exactly how I was thinking about it! But it’s a 3-stitch i-cord so it’s going pretty quickly, thank goodness.
Very cool cowl! That is a lot of i-cord, so glad it’s going quickly at least!
I quite enjoy doing icord, the longest one I made was for my smitten advent but I didn’t measure it, my guess is less than 32”. I like the cowl so far. Will be interested to see it on when the cord is in.
It always grows faster than I think it will, which is nice. I’m not as big a fan of doing an I-cord bindoff, though I love how it looks.
I think I would like to see the cowl modeled. I’ll have to check out Ginny and Georgie and see if I like it.
It does look better on, actually – as many things do, I suppose. Let me know if you like G&G!
I like the way the design plays with the color of the gray/pink yarn, but I don’t know how I’d feel about wearing it. I suspect this is one of those “maybe” projects where it all depends on how it looks on. I didn’t used to like icord, but it’s really great for mindless knitting. I’ve discovered I like it a lot more than I used to (even the icord bind off).
Yeah, I haven’t worn it yet. I do like the overall concept – it might be the stitch pattern. I’m tempted to try a plain stockinette version with the drawstring, because that’s what I like best about it!
