This weekend was kind to me, giving me lots of knitting time. The girl and I watched movies Friday night and I got most of a cowl done that night. (We watched The Greatest Showman and Lady Bird, and both were just Eh for me.)
The second one was a Sunday project, mostly done while watching Everest (really good!) and the last half of Toy Story 3. I had to do this one in daylight because OMG black yarn.
Obviously it’s still drying and I wasn’t patient enough to wait for it to dry before taking photos. The yarn for both is Cascade Baby Alpaca and the pattern is Flor de Maio. I didn’t do as many pattern repeats as the pattern called for, but I think they’re still a good wearable size. Hope the recipients like them!
And now that those are done, I am free to play with the yarn that came in the mail today!
That new yarn is beautiful and the cowls are stunning! Question what is your favorite dog walking cowl/scarf/shawl? It’s pretty chilly at 1 and 6 AM 🤣
Haha! That’s like asking me which child is my favorite! I love all my cowls, but the super bulky ones are the warmest for sure. However, I’m lucky that I don’t have to do dog walks–we have a really big yard so they get their exercise that way. And I’ve never had to let a dog out at 1 am–just one reason I don’t need a puppy! LOL
We need to fence in our yard. Lily is definitely my naughtiness pet. She’s in everything
OMG, that new yarn! So lovely!
Great job on the cowls, too. I do love fast, nearly-instant-gratification knits like that.
I love the stitch in those cowls!
Aw I loved Lady Bird, but I was also right around the age of the protagonist in the movie (maybe a year older) during 2002/2003. So that entire movie was a nostalgia train for me 🙂
I love Saoirse Ronan and thought she was marvelous, but the mother drove me nuts, and there were parts that were just kind of…strange. Glad I finally watched it though, after all the hype!
Wow that new yarn looks fun! Especially after black yarn 😉
LOL any yarn is fun after black yarn!
Hehe true!
