It’s Friday the 13th and the world has gone mad and I’m getting more evidence that my anxiety lives in my stomach, but I’m still knitting. We have to, right, to keep us sane? Or is that just me? I finished another project last night, leaving me with just two on the needles. This one is my review project and I’m not ready for the full review, but I wanted to give a peek.
I’ll show good color photos in the full reveal, but this does show off how pretty the pattern is! It’s the Oleada Cowl and it was fast and easy, and I love chevrons.
Hopefully you’re all taking precautions and staying healthy. My goal for the weekend is to stay home and cast on three new projects. The girl is heading home for spring break today, and the boy is on spring break next week, so I’ll have a full house again…just in time to do some good spring cleaning!
That looks like a great project! I’ve been knitting also, though not as much as I originally thought I would be. I’ve also been playing video games because they’re sometimes better at taking my mind off the outside world.
Yeah, I can see how they might occupy the mind a little more thoroughly!
It all depends on what we feel like putting on the TV, to be honest. Some shows / movies are engaging enough to keep me distracted from the ugliness. But in general, video games do require more different parts of my brain and leave less time for other thinking!
ooooh! Lovely!
I love chevrons too! I look forward to the full reveal:)
The cowl looks great! Can’t wait to see it in color. I hope you have a relaxing weekend and cast on all the projects you want to!
Thank you! I hope your weekend is relaxing too!
It’s my last day of work but I have knitting, not cleaning plans. The cowl looks great!
Thanks! At this point my cleaning plans = disinfecting commonly touched places and washing towels and sheets! 🙂
Good plan:)
I love the cowl. I knid of want to make one for myself in different shades of gray, as yours looks great in black and white. I really need to clean the house, but all I want to do is watch podcasts and knit.
Oh, gray would be good! And honestly, when I said “clean the house”, I basically just meant disinfect commonly touched places and wash all the sheets and towels! Other than that, it will be knitting central around here.
Phew. I was worried you were one of those keeps the house tidy at all times kind of people.
Well, I’m anti-clutter usually, but I hate to actually clean. So I’m comfortable with dust & dog hair!
Love the chevrons! Looking forward to seeing the full reveal 🙂 Stay safe and take it easy!
The cowl is lovely. I like the way the chevrons are spaced out. Looking forward to the finished pattern.
What a beautiful project. And yes, crafting is very soothing amidst all the craziness!
Thank you. I’m so grateful for yarn right now!
